Girón: The Victory
When the red color of the sky changes
to the white color of pigeons
hearing the bells of men
that raise their smiles from the hills.
After going chest to chest
had the desire to burn,
to kill, to avenge and to win.
When one does not forget that there is no
freedom given, if not carved
of marble and stone
of monuments full of flowers and earth,
and by the heroes killed in the wars
we must fight and win,
we must live and love,
we must laugh and sing,
we must die and create.
Singing and weeping of the earth,
singing and weeping of glory,
and between the singing and weeping of war,
our first victory
Lights filling the sky
of this insurrectional land,
and between lights successfully fighting
pursuing our victory.
Today walking confidently
through the trenches of history,
where the heroes fought
to achieve victory.
Singing and weeping of the earth,
singing and weeping of glory,
and between the singing and weeping of war,
our first victory.
